USDA reported on Thursday that weekly export sales for wheat were 160,400 tons. May Kansas City Wheat made new contract lows on Thursday. Market chatter about rain in the forecast for the western and northern sections of the winter wheat belt brought in sellers. Overseas the EU granted export licenses for 741,000 tons of wheat. So far, exports in the EU are 26.4 million tons versus 24.3 million tons last year. Wheat futures are trading a little higher Friday. May Chicago Wheat is trading at 494 3/4, 1/4 of a cent. July Chicago wheat is trading at 491, up 1/4 of a cent. May Kansas City Wheat is trading at 509 1/2.
