Lean Hogs Little lower

Thursday's USDA hog slaughter was 434,000 head versus a year ago at 407,000 head. Lean Hogs futures traded choppy with a wide range throughout the trading session. Lean hogs opened steady and moved a little higher early on and fell sharply mid-session before ending the day a little lower. At last check June Hogs were trading at 75.90, down 0.35. August Lean Hogs at last check were trading at 77.87, down 0.15 and April Hogs were trading at 63.35 up 0.45. Livestock Futures are closed Friday for an exchange holiday.
