Talk that poultry exports represent near 18 percent of total U.S. production has led to some concern about consumers switching to lower priced meat for consumption. Beef prices were down $1.20 at midsession to $246.27 on Thursday. The USDA reported weekly U.S. beef export sales were 17,200 tons.
