The U.K. British pound (GBP/USD) is trading higher Monday at 1.5021, up .0043.
Bank of England Head Mark Carney spoke at Davos on Saturday and said, "It is not lost on us that wages are picking up now in the most recent data consistent with our expectations." Carney said the U.K. was enjoying a period of low inflation with the help of lower commodity prices. He expects the Central Bank would return inflation to the 2 percent target within two years.
