N.Y March Cocoa Lower on Poor Asian Demand

March Cocoa is trading lower early Friday. The Asian Cocoa Grind data was released overnight and showed a fourth quarter decline of 17 %. The grind is a gauge of consumption. For the year Asian Cocoa grindings were lower by 3.9 percent to 614,461 tons from 639,505 tons in 2013. Chatter about long liquidation was making the rounds on Thursday.
