Blackrock appointed ECB consultant for ABS purchase program via ForexLive

Blackrock will provide advice on the design and implementation of a potential ABS-purchase program, Bloomberg reports, citing a spokesman in response to emailed questions.

This sounds like ABS purchases are a done deal, the euro could still run a long way lower. It's well known that the ECB was taking preparatory steps but this sounds like they've already decided.

Blackrock says safeguards against any conflict of interest are included in the agreement … sure.
