The S&P 500 is once again showing an impressive ability to withstand bad news.
The index opened 2 points lower after a 4 point decline on Monday. A small slip is somewhat surprising because the S&P 500 had to shake off poor durable goods, PCE, jobless claims, consumer confidence and the Richmond Fed — all this week.
Deere & Co also massively lowered its 2015 EPS view today to $5.36 from $6.34 and said Chinese economic growth will be lower than expected for fiscal 2015.
