Pharmaceutical HOLDRs (ETF) (NYSE: PPH) fell 5.89% this week and is struggling today because of a poor performance of Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), Abbot Laboratories (NYSE: ABT) and Valeant Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: VRX). PPH is down approximately 0.61% today.
PowerShares DB Crude Oil Double Short ETN (NYSE: DTO) dropped 8.83% this week, and the most of this loss was made today with the oil prices going the wrong way for DTO owners.
Direxion Daily Energy Bear 3X Shares(ETF) (NYSE: ERY) is another energy ETF that is struggling this week. It is designed to triple the inverse of return of Russell 1000 Energy Index, and this week ERY lost 6.69%. Russell 1000 Energy Index is up 1.70% today and ERY is down 5.18%.
