Rumors are circulating that private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts may be considering a takeover of the motorcycle manufacturer. Neither Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, nor Harley-Davidson, Inc. have commented on the takeover rumors yet.

Shares of Harley Davidson (NYSE: HOG) are gaining on a rumor the iconic motorcycle maker may be the target of a leveraged buyout. Traders are citing market talk that private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts could be a potential bidder for Harley. A spokesperson for KKR said it is not their policy to comment on speculation.
