Warner Music Group Corp. (NYSE: WMG) swung to a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $18 million, or 12 cents a share, while revenue rose 1% to $861 million. The quarter included 9 cents a share worth of severance costs. Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast a profit of 4 cents a share. On Monday, WMG closed at $21.15.

H.J. Heinz Company (NYSE: HNZ) reported that its second-quarter net income of $237.3 million, or 73 cents a share in the second-quarter, while revenue jumped 2.5% to $2.67 billion versus the consensus of 70 cents a share on revenue of $2.6 billion. Heinz raised its full-year outlook to $2.72 to $2.82 a share compared to its earlier view of $2.60 to $2.70 a share.HNZ rose 0.79% to $43.51 in the market.

DSW Inc. (NYSE: DSW)’s third-quarter net income grew to $26.63 or 60 cents million from $13.17 million or 30 cents a share in the year ago period compared to the analyst estimates of $0.46 per share. Net sales rose to $444.62 million from $391.35 million in the comparable period versus estimated revenues of $424.58 million for the quarter. The company now estimates annual 2009 earnings per share to range between $0.90 and $1.00 compared with its prior range of $0.70 - $0.80 per share and annual comparable store sales of around 1%. Yesterday, DSW closed at $20.54.

Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT) shares rose 3.70% to $41.80 in the pre market session after MDT announced that its second-quarter profit grew to $868 million, or 78 cents a share, from $547 million, or 48 cents a share, in the year-ago period and revenue rose 8%, to $3.8 billion. On an adjusted basis, net earnings were $850 million, or 77 cents a share, higher than the analyst estimations of 74 cents a share on revenue of $3.75 billion. Moreover, MDT raised guidance for the fiscal year 2010 to a range of $3.17 to $3.22 a share.

Vimpel-Communications (ADR) (NYSE: VIP) net profit rose 107.50% to 13.51 billion roubles ($468 million), below a 16.36 billion average forecast in a Reuters poll. Sales rose 3.5 percent year-on-year to 71.34 billion roubles versus forecast revenue of 71.59 billion roubles. On Monday, VIP closed at $21.15.
