Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROST) fell 2.895 to $44.74 after it reported Q3 EPS of $0.84 and revenue for the quarter was $1.74 billion Vs the consensus of $0.84 on $1.73 billion. The company reaffirms Q4 EPS of $0.88-$0.94 against the consensus of $0.99.It sees FY10 EPS of $3.27-$3.33.
Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) declined 3.50% to 473.18 after it reported a third quarter loss of $0.81 per share, ex-items, topping the consensus estimates for a loss of $1.09. Revenues in the quarter fell 4% y-o-y to $10.19 billion and came in way ahead of consensus estimates of $9.92 billion. The company reported same-store sales off 4.6%.
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (NYSE: WSM) rose 3.68% to $21.80 after it turned profitable and earned $7.33 million, or 7 cents a share, in the third quarter Vs a loss of $11 million, or 10 cents a share, in a year ago. Revenue fell 3% to $729 million. On an adjusted basis, the company said it would have earned 16 cents a share Vs the estimations of 5 cents on sales of $689.5 million.
