Real Goods Solar (Nasdaq: RSOL), the provider of residential solar energy services, is lighting up the after-hours session, soaring 53 cents, or 26.5%, to $2.53 after delivering third-quarter earnings report.
Colorado-based Real Goods said third-quarter net income rose to $200,000, or 1 cent a share, from a loss of $200,000, or a penny a share, a year earlier. Revenue for the third quarter increased 122.3% to $23.0 million from $10.3 million.
Robust demand for Real Goods' products during the quarter led to the top-line growth and that could be a potential catalyst to jolt Real Goods shares going forward.
