Computer Sciences Corp (NYSE: CSC) today announced its third-quarter profits at $211 million, or $1.36 a share, up from $161 million, or $1.06 a share, in the same quarter a year ago. CSC’s revenues for the quarter came in at $3.95 billion. Analysts on an average expected quarterly profits of $1.23 a share on revenues of $4.03 billion.

Dean Foods Co (NYSE: DF) said today that its fourth-quarter net income came in at $50.3 million, or $0.27 a share, down from $66.4 million, or $0.42 a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings for DF fell to $0.31 a share, from $0.46 a share in the year-ago period. The Dallas company’s revenues also fell marginally to $3 billion from $3.1 billion. The analysts had expected earnings of $0.37 a share on revenues of $2.97 billion for the company.

Sigma-Aldrich Corp (NASDAQ: SIAL) said today that its fourth-quarter profits rose to $92.6 million, or $0.75 a share, from $84.3 million, or $0.68 a share, in the year-earlier period. SIAL’s net sales for the quarter came in at $572.5 million, up from $509.8 million a year ago. Sigma-Aldrich forecasted its earnings for the full-year 2010 at $3.00 to $3.15 a share. Wall Street analysts expected profits of $0.73 a share for the fourth quarter and $3.13 for 2010.

The fourth-quarter earnings at Scripps Networks Interactive Inc (NYSE: SNI) came in at $94.4 million, or $0.57 a share. The company had lost $154 million, or $0.94 a share, in the same period last year. SNI’s operating revenues rose 6% to $430 million from $405 million. Analysts had expected SNI to earn $0.51 per share.
