United Technologies To Repurchase $1.5 Billion In Stock

According to a headline that just crossed on CNBC, Dow component United Technologies (NYSE: UTX)(FREE stock trend analysis) will repurchase $1.5 billion of its own stock.

Separately, United Technologies said it will acquire a 49.5% stake in renewable energy firm Clipper Windpower. United Technologies is up less than 1% in the past month.
