Baidu (BIDU) CTO Exit Confirmed By Insider
January 18, 2010 12:12 PM
Inside sources at Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU) have confirmed the resignation of CTO Li Yinan, marking the second instance of high-profile exits at Baidu in the last ten days. Prior to this, COO Ye Peng had announced his decision to resign. Baidu’s public relations team refused to respond and Li was not available for comment.
It is said that Li will soon announce his resignation on ‘personal grounds’, but nothing is known about his post-resignation plans or his successor. Li has considerable experience in the information technology industry, and served as vice president at Huawei Technologies where he oversaw the development of 3G handsets. He joined Baidu in October 2008.
