Oppenheimer has released a report on the Technology industry. Analysts at Oppenheimer have a positive outlook for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) in 2010. Analysts expect Microsoft to produce double digit revenue and EPS growth in CY10. They also expect Microsoft’s transaction-based business and consumer oriented offerings to benefit from the recovery in the global economy.

Meanwhile new product roll outs will further boost demand. Analysts expect multiple expansions in the coming months as investors gain confidence in Microsoft’s ability to re-accelerate revenue growth and drive meaningful margin expansions. Microsoft has meanwhile kicked off a new upgrade program for its SMB customers by offering discounts for Windows 7 and Office 2007, according to the report. Microsoft’s director of anti piracy, Alex Kochis, has also stepped down from his role, according to the Oppenheimer report which cites Information Week as its source.

Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ: TLEO) completed its pending acquisition of Worldwide Compensation on 01/01/10, according to the report. Taleo paid roughly $14 million in cash to acquire the 86% of Worldwide Compensation that it did not own.
