Shareholders of Marvel Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: MVL), home of Spider-Man, have approved the company's acquisition by Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS). The Walt Disney Co. (DIS) gets Marvel Entertainment Inc.'s (MVL) portfolio of more than 5,000 characters, many of which are obscure.
Walt Disney’s (DIS) stock was trading slightly higher at $32.52 by mid-day trading following the approval to proposed acquisition, and Marvel Entertainment Co. (MVL) also edged up by mid-day trading to $54.22.
