Billions Being Spent By Edison International On Renewable Energy (EIX, SCE-D, EMG)

Edison International (NYSE: EIX) has spent billions to bring more renewable power in Southern California and carbon-free, wind energy to homes and the businesses across the United States. Ted Craver, the CEO of the company said, "We have focused on renewables particularly since 2005."

Edison International operates through two subsidiaries - Southern California Edison (AMEX: SCE-D), a regulated electric utility in central and Southern California, and Edison Mission Group (EMG), a competitive power generator. Southern California Edison is one of the largest utilities in the country, serving 13 million Californians. It expects to invest $20 billion over the next five years to help, bring clean and renewable power and energy efficiencies to consumers.

Edison Mission Group’s growth is derived by planting wind farms across the United States.
