Apple (AAPL) Captures Half Of All Smartphone Traffic, RIMM, MSFT, GOOG

According to latest research, almost fifty percent of all smartphone traffic on the internet is about Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) devices. In the last few months, Apple has risen 10 percent, while top competitors like BlackBerry (NASDAQ: RIMM), Symbian, and Windows Mobile (NASDAQ: MSFT) have remained relatively stagnant.

Strong competition is however expected from Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android platform. In the last two months it went from seven to eleven percent of world traffic. It represents twenty percent of all smartphone traffic in the US.
