LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) reported a third-quarter net income of $29.4 million and revenue of $281.9 million.LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) reported third-quarter net income of $29.4 million and revenue of $281.9 million. Net Income for the third quarter was $0.27 a share as compared to $0.77 a share in the year ago period. However, Analysts expected LDK to report loss of $0.13 a share and revenue of $259 million. LDK also provided fourth quarter outlook and expects fourth-quarter revenue to be between $280 million to $310 million while Wall Street analysts estimate revenues of $259 million. In the pre-market session, LDK climbed up 15% to $9.20. So far in 2009, LDK declined by over 35%.
Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) today announced that its fourth-quarter loss was $456 million from a profit of $48 million from the same quarter last year. However, Tyson earned $0.28 a share on an adjusted basis. Tyson is up 0.69% or $0.07 to $13.14 in the pre-market session.
Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) reported a first quarter profit of $147 million, or $0.87 a share, as compared to $107 million, or $0.70 a share, from the same quarter last year. Sales were $2.2 billion, down from $2.3 billion in the first quarter of 2009. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research expected earnings of $0.81 a share on revenue of $2.3 billion. CPB is up 3% to $35.15 in the pre-market session. In the last trading session, CPB closed at $34.12.
Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) soared over 5% to $45 in the pre-market after Tech Data announced revenue guidance for the fourth quarter of 2010. Tech Data expects revenue of $5.71 billion in the fourth quarter while analysts estimate revenue of $5.65 billion. TECD also reported an increase in net profit for the third quarter of 2009 as compared to the third quarter of 2008.
