The J.M. Smucker Company (NYSE: SJM) today announced that its second quarter net sales increased 52% to $1278.7 million and EBITDA rose to $276 million from $103.1 million from the same quarter last year. The J.M. Smucker also raised its outlook for financial year 2010. It now expects net sales to be around $4.5 billion and income per diluted share to be in the range of $0.17 to $0.19 a share for 2010. The J.M. Smucker Company is trading at $55.97, 4.66% up in the pre-market session. Yesterday, SJM closed at $53.48.
AnnTaylor Stores Corp. (NYSE: ANN) today announced a third-quarter profit of $2.07 million as compared to a loss of $13.4 million last year. While, sales declined to $462.4 million against $527.2 million. Analysts on an average were expecting ANN to earn $0.07 per share on sales of $473.9 million. However, for the fourth quarter, ANN expects sales to be a little below than those reported for the 3Q2009. AnnTaylor declined by 5.87% at $13 in the pre-market. In the last six months, ANN climbed up over 54%.
D.R. Horton, Inc. (NYSE: DHI) today reported a fourth quarter loss of $231.9 million against $799.9 million from the same quarter last year. Total revenue was $1 billion, down from $1.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008. DHI is trading at $11.60, down 5.31% in the pre-market session.
