Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: TEVA) said on Tuesday that it had firm plans to expand a suit against Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: MMNTA) and Sandoz Inc., which are hoping to market a generic version of Teva Pharma's (TEVA) multiple sclerosis drug Copaxone.

Teva Pharma (TEVA) is claiming that the two companies are violating ten patents on Copaxone, up from seven claimed in a lawsuit filed by Teva Pharma (TEVA) in 2008. However, the strong statement by Teva Pharma (TEVA) is unilikely to make any major difference in stock movement of either of the listed companies Teva Pharma (TEVA) or Momenta Pharma (MNTA).
