Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ: ORCL) and SUN Microsystems (NYSE: SUN) are likely to face selling pressure on Tuesday, following the further roadblock that the acquisition of Sun MicroSystems (SUN) by Oracle Corp. (ORCL) has started facing.

The European Commission has objected to Oracle Corp. (ORCL) acquisition of computer maker Sun Microsystems (SUN), throwing the $7 billion deal into question. The Oracle Corp. (ORCL) stock started on a soft note on Tuesday, at $21.7, compared to $21.85 on Monday.

The commission said in a preliminary assessment that combining Sun's MySQL database product and Oracle's (ORCL) products could hurt competition in the database market, according to the latest filing by Sun Microsystems (SUN) in SEC.
