Benzinga’s Earnings Roundup (DISH, AWK, SATS, WIN)

DISH Network Corp. (NASDAQ: DISH) third-quarter net income fell to $81 million and basic earning per share in the latest quarter were $0.18 a share. While its net revenue rose to $2.89 billion from $2.937 billion versus Analysts estimations of 45 cents a share for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009.

American Water Works Co., Inc. (NYSE: AWK) reported that its third-quarter net income fell to $91.6 million, or $0.52 a share. Revenue increased to $680 million inspite of wet and cool summer. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters estimated American Water to report earnings of $0.54 a share on revenue of $696 million.

Echostar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) reported net income $294 million compared to a net loss of $308 million in the year-ago period. Total revenue was $483 million, down from $616 million in the third quarter of 2008, its basic EPS in the latest quarter was $3.45 a share versus a loss per share of $3.43 in the year ago period.

Windstream Corporation (NYSE: WIN) reported its third quarter net profit of $80 million, or $0.18 a share, from a $105.9 million, or $0.24 a share, a year ago. Total revenue for the period was $734.3 million, a decline of 8% reported in the same period last year. Windstream Corporation beats Analysts expectation of $0.21 a share on revenues of $747.7 million.
