The stocks that may be in focus today are:

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) is buying Palm Inc (NASDAQ: PALM) for $1.2 billion. Under the deal, Palm shareholders will receive $5.70 in cash for each share. PALM’s stock last traded at $4.63, while HPQ closed at $53.28 yesterday.

Wall Street expects Motorola (NYSE: MOT) to report a loss of $0.01 a share for Q1. MOT closed at $6.92 yesterday.

ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM) is expected to post its earnings for the first quarter at $1.39. XOM’s closed at $69.19 in yesterday’s trading.

Analysts expect McAfee (NYSE: MFE) to have earned $0.63 per share in Q1. MFE closed at $39.92 yesterday.

According to the forecasts, Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) may post its Q1 EPS at $0.81. PG’s last closed at $63.17.
