Some US Senators Doing Insider Trading

Common investors may never find the perfect formula to beat the market. However, it seems to be child’s play for U.S. Senators who seem to have found better ways to profit by insider trading.
Around 25% to 40% of U.S. Senators are known to purchase and sell stocks, beating the market index by around 12% on a yearly average. By wielding their congressional powers, senators seem to gain access to information, putting even Wall Street to shame.
The very fact that they do better than the broad market only goes to show their involvement in unfair practices like political insider trading. This also indicates their double standards where corporate insider trading by the infamous Martha Stewart was termed as a criminal offense that was punishable with several years of imprisonment.
