A San Francisco federal appeals court announced that Wal-Mart is about to face a large class-action lawsuit for discrimination. Why? For repeatedly discriminating against female workers.
Specifically, the lawsuit claims that Wal-Mart not only pays female employees less for the same job, but also is less likely to promote female employees in comparison to males within the company.
The lawsuit, which began in 2001, includes over 1 million workers--current and former.
