Apple iPad: Round 2
April 20, 2010 3:27 PM
Those still waiting to get their hands on the new Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPad will be happy to know the next shipment will hit stores and homes across the country April 30th.
This round features the devices that are armed and ready to use wireless connections via cellular services, not just Wi-Fi. However, with the increased capabilities comes an increase in price. The 16 GB device will cost $629 (on the low end), with the 64 GB iPad reaching $829.
Those who have already pre-ordered the 3G version of the iPad will receive them on the 30th as well.
Due to consumer demand, Apple has already pushed back its international release date twice. The company hopes to make its international launch in May.
The company's shares are down 0.84% so far this afternoon in trading.
