Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) rose 2.84% to $26.81 on total volume of 4,532,255 shares, as compared to the average volume of 8,398,450. ALTR designs, manufactures and markets programmable logic devices (PLD), HardCopy application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) devices, pre-defined design building blocks and associated development tools.

Applied Energetics, Inc (NASDAQ: AERG) was another stock that made a new 52-week high at $1.38, marking 21.05% growth till 12.02 pm. AERG develops and manufactures applied energy systems for military and commercial applications in the US.

Express Scripts, Inc (NASDAQ: ESRX) today broke its previous 52-week high and made a new high at $104.23, reflecting a gain of 1.40%. ESRX offers a range of services related to pharmacy benefit management (PBM) in North America.

First Cash Financial Services, Inc (NASDAQ: FCFS) crossed its earlier 52-week high of $23.43 and created a new 52-week high of $23.75 in early morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $23.74, reflecting a rise of 2.73%. FCFS runs pawn stores that loans money on the collateral of pledged personal property in Mexico and the US.
