Kohlberg And CVC Show Interest In Interactive Data Corp. (IDC, PSO)

Private equity firms Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and CVC have joined hands to bid for Interactive Data Corp. (NYSE: IDC). Interactive Data Corp. had earlier said that it was evaluating its strategic options.

The company’s announcement resulted in a flurry of interest from a number of potential suitors. Other firms in contention include Hellman & Friedman, with Silver Lake Partners and Advent International, with Bain Capital.

Publishing house Pearson LLC (NYSE: PSO) owns a 61 percent stake in Interactive Data Corp. All the firms involved in the talks have declined to comment on the issue.
