Senior Manager Leaves Goldman Sachs (GS)

Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) Principal Strategies’ head Pierre-Henri Flamand has decided to quit the firm. Principal Strategies is Goldman Sachs’s largest internal hedge fund.
Flamand ran the fund for three years. He is planning to start his own hedge fund, however, he has not disclosed any details about the new hedge fund.
Principal Strategies had performed well in 2009. According to 10-K filing made by Goldman Sachs, Principal Strategies had posted positive results in 2009, compared with losses in 2008.
