Sun Communities (SUI) Shares Up Nearly 4%

Shares of real estate investment trust Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) were up nearly 4% in afternoon trading, after the company reported its 4th quarter 2009 results.
Sun Communities reported a 4th quarter net loss of $2.9 million, or 15 cents per diluted common share, compared with a net loss of $18.5 million, or $1.01 per diluted common share, a year earlier.
Total revenues rose to $64.7 million, up from $63 million a year earlier.
Funds from operations increased to $14.7 million, or 70 cents per diluted share/OP Unit, compared to a loss of $0.6 million, or 3 cents per diluted share/OP Unit.
