New DocVerse Like Plug-In To Bring Google Docs To Microsoft Outlook (GOOG, MSFT)

According to , Mainsoft, an Israeli enterprise software company is launching a DocVerse like plug-in to increase the competition in the enterprise software space.

Harmony is said to be launched as a free plug-in that will bring Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) docs documents and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Sharepoint documents directly into Outlook. Recently, Google announced a $25 million acquisition of DocVerse, challenging Microsoft’s dominance in the productivity suite space.

The new plug-in will allow users to search in Google docs from the Harmony search box. It will also allow switching between common views such as spreadsheets. Users will be able to edit Google docs directly from Outlook.
