Airline Stocks Rise (UAUA, LCC, AMR, DAL, CAL)

Airline stocks have risen in trading on Tuesday after UAL Corporation (NASDAQ: UAUA), the parent company of United Air Lines, said on Monday that the revenue for each passenger flown a mile increased by 17%-19% in February.

UAL Corporation was up by 8.97% to $19.07 at 11.14 a.m. in New York. Other airline stocks have also seen a rise on the positive news, with US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) up by 5.87% to $7.75, Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE: DAL) up by 4.70% to $13.13, AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR) up by 9.40% to $9.78, and Continental Airlines, Inc. (NYSE: CAL) up by 5.49% to $21.37, at 11.18 a.m. in New York.
