Selerity Launches; Perhaps Redemption For Ehrenberg
March 08, 2010 4:10 PM
Selerity, “a low latency, real-time fact aggregation and event data company that caters to sophisticated investment firms including hedge funds, banks, and proprietary trading firms”, announced today its software platform is ready to roll out.
Here at Benzinga, we are looking to see what Ehrenberg, an incredibly astute investor, has learned from his failed Monitor110 venture. On his website, he provides a post-mortem analysis of said failure. It appears like a laundry list of mistakes, that he specifically addresses, which will benefit the founders of Selerity. His experience will be invaluable to Selerity's already stellar board.

Monitor110 and Selerity are similar concepts, providing real time data for investors. While Roger has pursued many business ventures in the meantime, Selerity could likely encompass many principals he learned as he watched the failure of Monitor110.
This Wall Street trained venture capitalist's battle wounds will likely help create some wonderful new data reporting tools that could be of great use to many investors.
