Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) YouTube is reaching out to its deaf audience by providing captions for a variety of its videos.

The speech recognition software is an important move for the company, especially for those being limited on online viewing material as a result of their disability.

Although only the English language is currently represented, the company plans to move forward and add other languages in the near future.

The imperfect speech recognition software is making educational and entertainment-based YouTube videos available to a wider audience with many people greatly appreciative of the new feature.
