MSCI (MXB) To Acquire Riskmetrics Group (RISK) For $1.55 Billion

Being downgraded by Maxim Group from a Buy to a Hold rating didn't hurt the share price of Riskmetrics Group Inc (NYSE: RISK) after the company agreed to be acquired by MSCI Inc (NYSE: MXB).

Riskmetrics Group agreed to be acquired for $1.55 billion, or $21.75 a share, of cash and stock by MSCI Inc.

Shares of Riskmetrics Group were up 13% to $21.10 in afternoon trading.
