Lufthansa (OTC: DLAKY) has announced that it is willing to hold talks with its pilot union. The airlines has not set any preconditions for the talk. Lufthansa’s (DLAKY) pilot union, Vereinigung Cockpit, is scheduled to go on a four-day strike from Monday.

The union is demanding that pilots be given more say in flight scheduling and assignment distribution. According to Lufthansa, a strike could cost the airline 25 million Euros a day. The union is also concerned about Lufthansa’s plans to outsource pilots' jobs to cheaper airlines. Lufthansa has denied having any such plans.
