Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE: COF) will refund $775,000 to about 18,000 of its customers. Capital One (COF) had charged 3,400 customers annual fees totaling $125,000 after those customers had already requested their accounts to be closed. The credit card company has voluntarily agreed to expand the refund to additional 15,000 customers.

Capital One has regretted the error. According to the company the problem was due to a technical glitch.
