Kraft Foods Q4 Profit Up (KFT)
Kraft foods’ (NYSE: KFT) Q4 profit more than tripled due to better business in emerging markets. Its Q4 earnings stood at $710 million up from $178 million, a year ago. Kraft (KFT) posted an EPS of $0.48 beating the market estimates of $0.45.
Kraft’s revenue rose by 3.2 percent to $11 billion, but narrowly missed the street estimates of $11.07 billion. The food giant has recently closed a deal to acquire Cadbury (CBY) for $19.6 billion. According to the company, it expects the deal to add 5 cents to its EPS in 2011.
