Microsoft’s Windows 7 Mobile to be Unveiled Soon (MSFT)

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) may showcase its Windows Mobile 7 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Microsoft (MSFT) is under pressure to come up with a mobile software that will allow it to compete against Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android and Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone. Microsoft’s share in the smartphone operating system market declined to 18% during the last four months of 2009.

Microsoft hopes to regain its market share with the launch of the new OS. Last year, Microsoft tried to compete with Apple’s (AAPL) App store with the launch of Windows Marketplace for mobile. However, its initiative did not see much success.
