Will Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) even manage to turn in the expected 1/3 cut in per-share earnings when it announces its Q4-2009 results after the market closes on Wednesday, February 10th? Analysts are expecting to see income of $0.13 per share - much less than the $0.21 per share earned for the same quarter a year earlier.
If the company does indeed clear $0.13 per share, it will have earned $0.50 per share for the whole year. That's two cents less than 2008's per-share earnings. For 2010, analysts expect Boston Scientific Corporation to earn $0.52 per share.
Q4 2009 revenue is anticipated to have moved from $2.0 billion to $2.08 billion. At that level, full-year revenue will have risen from $8.05 billion to $8.18 billion.
Boston Scientific met earnings expectations in three of its last four quarters, falling short by two cents per share in the most recent one.
