Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) has decided to take on Facebook and Twitter in the social arena.
Both networking companies have taken off with "tweets" and status updates consuming the life of many. Google will now take on these hit sites with it's new Google Buzz feature.
Like Twitter and Facebook, the focus is on status updates. Gmail users will be able to read and comment on status updates through Google Buzz.
In this case, Google is a bit behind these other two social networking companies and is striving to play catch up, predicting it too will soon be sharing pictures and videos.
Who will jump on the wagon next?
