General Dynamics Lands $253 Million Army Contract

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), the defense contractor, won a $253 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide logistics support for armored vehicles.

General Dynamics said the contract will fund spare parts, maintenance of a spare-parts warehouse, repair-parts distribution and maintenance services on the Stryker series of armored vehicles.

Work on the contract will start on March 1 and last through February 2011.
