Newell Rubbermaid Inc. (NYSE: NWL) reported today a fourth-quarter profit of $60.6 million, or $0.20 per share, from a loss of $256.7 million in the year ago period. Sales declined 2% to $1.42 billion. Newell Rubbermaid expects 2010 earnings per share to be in the range of $1.35 - $1.45. Analysts expected Newell Rubbermaid to report quarterly earnings of $0.27 per share and 2010 earnings of $1.46 per share. The 52-week trading range for NWL is $4.51 - $16.10. Newell Rubbermaid has surged over 15% in the last six months.

Autoliv Inc. (NYSE: ALV) reported today a fourth-quarter net profit of $61.3 million, or $0.68 per share, as compared to a loss of $37.7 million, or $0.55 per share, for the same quarter last year. Sales increased 40% to $1.67 billion for the quarter. Analysts had expected ALV to report earnings of $0.66 per share. Autoliv surged 4.82% to $42.88 in the pre-market session. Autoliv closed at $40.91 in the last trading session. In the last year, ALV has climbed over 132%.

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT) reported today a fourth-quarter net income of $328 million, or $0.89 per share, as compared to $176 million, or $0.49 per share, for the same quarter last year. Analysts had expected Mattel to report earnings of $0.68 per share. The 52-week trading range for MAT is $10.36 - $21.05. MAT closed at $20.04 in the previous trading session.

Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE: HON) reported today a fourth-quarter earnings of $698 million, or $0.91 per share, as compared to $707 million, or $0.97 per share, in the year-ago period. Sales declined to $8.1 billion as compared to $8.7 billion in the year ago period. Analysts had expected Honeywell to report earnings of $0.90 per share on sales of $8.2 billion. Honeywell International declined 0.13% to $39.77 in the pre-market session. The 52-week trading range for HON is $23.06 - $43.21. HON closed at $39.82 in the previous trading session.

Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) today reported a fourth-quarter net income of $99 million, or $0.53 per share, as compared to $120.7 million, or $0.65 per share, for the same quarter last year. Revenue declined 12.7% to $1.5 billion for the quarter. Analysts expected Dover to report earnings of $0.49 per share. The 52-week trading range for DOV is $21.79 - $46.48. Dover has surged 24% in the last six months.
