The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

Security Software & Services: This industry jumped 11.19% by 11:11 am. The top stock within the industry was McAfee Inc (NYSE: MFE), which rose 57.47%. Intel Corp (NASADQ: INTC) has announced a deal to buy MFE for about $7.7 billion or $48 per share in cash. The offer values MFE’s shares at a 60% premium to yesterday's closing price.

Internet Software & Services: This industry rose 2.79% by 11:11 am ET. The top performer in this industry was NetEase.com Inc (NASDAQ: NTES), which gained 12.36%. NTES had posted better-than-expected Q2 revenue.

Music & Video Stores: This industry moved up 0.54% by 11:11 am, with Netflix Inc (NASDAQ: NFLX) moving up 0.69% to gain the top spot. NFLX’s shares have jumped 180.14% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has just gained 9.80% in the same period.

Photographic Equipment & Supplies: The industry, which gained 0.38%, saw Canon Inc (NYSE: CAJ) as the top gainer. CAJ’s shares rose 0.65%. CAJ has announced its new SELPHY CP800 Compact Photo Printer that features a new tilt LCD screen.
