Synutra International (Nasdaq: SYUT), the Chinese maker of baby formula, is trading lower by almost 26% today, making the stock one of the biggest losers on U.S. exchanges, after press reports said the company's products have been linked to premature deaths among infants.

Synutra denied a report in the Health Times that said examinations of three girls in the city of Wuhan between the ages of four months and 15 months found the level of the hormone estradiol in their bodies was as much as some adult women, according to Bloomberg News.

The shares are the biggest losers in the Russell 2000 today. Synutra shares were down as much as 35% earlier today. The company sells its products in 30 Chinese provinces.
