S&P 500 To Close Month In Positive Territory After Two Months

Although stocks have been flirting around the flat line for a few hours, the S&P 500 is still set to end the month of July up about 7%, after closing in the red in the previous two months.

On the S&P 500, the top gainers for July are Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC), which climbed 36.9%, Genzyme Corp (NASDAQ: GENZ), which surged 36.8%, and Citrix Systems (NASDAQ: CTXS), which climbed 29.6%.

The top decliners for the month are Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), which plummeted 53.9%, Micron Technology (NYSE: MU), which fell 13%, and Medco Health Solutions (NYSE: MHS), which lost 12.9%.
