Shares Falling On Strong Volume (WOOF, RST)

Shares of VCA Antech (NASDAQ: WOOF) and Rosetta Stone (NYSE: RST) are both plunging this afternoon as both companies reported weak guidance that missed analyst's estimates.
VCA Antech reported earnings yesterday of $0.44/share, 5 cents less than what Wall Street was expecting. The company also came out with an outlook for 2010 EPS of $1.43 to $1.53, well below the estimated $1.62.
Rosetta Stone is falling due to a weak outlook as well, saying it sees sales of $60.5 million, well short of analysts' estimates of $65.6 million. Rosetta Stone is scheduled to report earnings August 5. It also announced that COO Eric Eichmann has resigned effective August 6, and CFO Brian Helman will leave the company, effective August 31.
Shares of VCA Antech are trading at $20.71, down $2.24 and Rosetta Stone is at $21.60, down $3.92.
