Top Narrow Based Indexes for July 7 (HTZ, SOLF, NLST)
By 1:29 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 169.46 points, or 1.74%, to 9,913.08, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 19.31 points, or 1.88%. The NASDAQ composite index had also jumped 37.50 points, or 1.79%. Some of the narrow based indexes driving the markets are Vehicle Rental Stocks, which have gained 5.4%, Chinese Solar Stocks, up 5.3%, and Data Storage Stocks, moving 4.8% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Vehicle Rental complex, Hertz Global Holdings Inc (NYSE: HTZ) had surged 8.4%. HTZ has completed its European refinancing objectives before the planned schedule.
The best performing Tickerspy Chinese Solar stock has been Solarfun Power Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ: SOLF), which was up 10.3%. SOLF is all set to report its Q2 results on August 3.
